With the expenses at Haven Medical Care Terrigal continuing to climb, and your Medicare rebate covering only half of our private fees, our team has sadly realised to allow us to survive as a business and continue to offer quality care, we are no longer able to offer bulk billing.

Changes To Our Fee Structure
Due to Federal Government Policies such as the Medicare freeze, the Medicare rebate has not kept up with inflation. The Medicare rebate of $39.75 for a consult less than 20 minutes equates to less than 50% of the Australian Medical Association (AMA) recommended fee. As we are a private business with staff, equipment and rent to pay, this greater than 50% discount that we have provided to date, is not sustainable.
NEW PATIENTS:
As of 1st July 2023, all NEW patients will be charged an initial consultation fee of $90.00 for a standard consultation. Following appointments will then be charged according to our fee structure. Bulk billing will only be provided to children under 5 years of age with a valid Medicare Card.
EXISTING PATIENTS:
As of 1st January 2023, we will no longer be able to offer bulk billing, except for children under 5 years of age who have a valid Medicare Card.
We will continue to bulk bill care plans, care plan reviews and some health assessments, depending on eligibility.
